Have a lot to do the happy dance for this past week.
1.) Potty training is an official success. Less than a handful of accidents over the last week and a half. The girl sure is proud of herself everytime she uses the potty....it's sweet and adorable. Here she is enjoying her piece of candy.
2.) Got to see my girlfriends Katie and her beautiful daughter Annabelle. Scary to hold a baby that small again, not sure i'm ready.
3.) We got all the furniture from my dad's house for Ashlyn's room and her big girl bedding arrived. Ashley came down and helped us paint the nursery (it's grayish with a yellow stripe). Nesting has officially started for Baby #2.
4.) Ashlyn's cast was removed this morning. We were expecting a shorter cast, but the bones are healed enough that they didn't put another one on. Have to wrap it in bandage for a week or two to remind her to be careful with it. We are back to enjoying the pool and taking normal baths in the bathtub. YIPPEE!!!!!
Ashlyn is now 22 months and blossoming leaps and bounds all the time. She is talking more, if that is possible, even talking to people on the phone now (used to stay silent). She is also doing a lot more imaginative play. Today she put her baby on the potty, made pee noises, told baby to sit still while she got a paper towel, wiped and gave baby a big hug and said you did it. It's fun to see her mimic things I do, like make cookie dough, and have little conversations while she plays. She continues to make me smile.....all the time!!
