Boobs and Carpet

Went to a breastfeeding class this week at the hospital. It was actually quite informative. After the child care class we went to last week, which sucked, I wasn't sure how beneficial it would be. Who knows how breastfeeding will go, but at least I'm prepared for the frustrations and effort that it may entail in the beginning.

We ordered the shag rug for the nursery. It's hard to tell the color online, but we are hoping it will be the pale yellow we are expecting. Last but not least, Cia will start painting the mural the week of September 8th, I can't wait to see it come together.

34 Weeks

I swear the weeks are just flying by. Scary to think I only have 6 weeks left, and in reality I guess it is highly possible it's more like 5. My dad told me this weekend that they'll probably do an ultrasound at 38 weeks, and if she's big enough they'll induce at 39 weeks. He thinks since I'm so small and have a tiny butt it would be better for my labor if the baby doesn't put on that extra 1/2 pound the last week. So I may be having a baby in 5 weeks. Eeeek!!! And I guess my OB is going on vacation 2 days after my due date, so no matter what i'll probably go somewhere around that time.

Here is also a view from the front. My nice big ball of baby. Wanted to show my belly button. It isn't popping out, but has gone almost totally flat. So weird!

Memory Book

I ordered Baby B's memory book. I figured I should start filling in all the information about mom, dad, and family stuff now while I actually have time. I saw a variation of it in a local store, and went online and found it came in all different fabrics. The books are called, The Story or Me, and they are so cute. This is a picture of the book I ended up getting. I could have gotten the name monogrammed at the top, but since we haven't picked one, that option was out! Guess the picture and info are clue enough as to what child it is. I got it from a online store called BabySakes.com, has lots of cute stuff.

Perfect timing!

Matt got me a maternity massage for my birthday, back in May. I have saved it till now because I figured I'd enjoy it the most in my last trimester. Well I went this morning, and it was fabulous! More than anything, if just felt great to get to lay on my belly and have my back rubbed.

I scheduled the massage 2 weeks ago, and the timing could not have been better. It was a pretty crappy weekend, and many tears were shed. I swear, some people in this world are just mean and hateful, and make sure you know it. You think you know who your friends are, and sometimes they slap you really hard across the face. I know I am a good, honest, extremely loving and generous person-no one is perfect- but at least I admit when I'm wrong. To have people try to tear me down, when life is already in a stressful state of change and transition, is just mean and wrong. I hope they feel guilty!!!!! Vent over!

Needless to say, I needed that massage today, and it was HEAVEN sent!

Goodbye and a Dr's visit

The little ones have gone back to New York. It is kinda sad and quiet now that my parents house is empty. I know my mom is sure going to miss all the snuggle baby holding time. And I will definitely miss painting princesses and playing dress up. Hopefully we won't have to wait till Christmas to see the England clan again!
I had my 33 week appointment this week. As usual, all is normal. I measured fine, blood pressure is in check and nothing out of the norm. I had put on 1 1/2 pounds in the last 3 weeks, so that wasn't too painful to see. The rate my belly has sudden started growing, you just never know what the scale might say. I go back just after labor day, and then I think it is once a week from then on. Aaah! Here is my 33 week belly.

One weird week

In the past 5 days, my sister's car was vandalized and my parents house was burglarized. Now that is a bad week!

Ashley moved up to Ann Arbor for grad school about a week ago. Welcome to Michigan.....we are going to throw rocks through your windows and mess up your car. Luckily it's covered by insurance, but not what she was looking forward to hearing after returning from a trip to Alaska!!

Then my parents find out that a felon/drug addict was in their house Sunday night. The cops found his car and watched the street till they saw him and chased him (he got away, but they have his car). My sister in laws laptop, and some other odds and ends from my parents house was found in his car. CREEPY! What is scarier is that my mom didn't go to bed till 3:30 am that night. He was either watching her and waited till she went upstairs, or came just after she went to bed.

What is the world coming too. Luckily everyone is ok, but still messed up!

On a happy note, we are going to eat at this awesome steak restaurant (Waterfront) for my father in laws 60th birthday tonight. Baby B can't wait for some filet mignon and mashed potatoes.

Busy Weekend

We had the first home Bengals games last night. Preseason pretty much sucks, but we were still excited to see where our new seats were. They are awesome. We are on the 25 yard line, in the 20th row. A HUGE difference from being 3 rows from the top last year. The Bengals looks like crap, and it will probably be a very long season. Bonus being the cheerleaders are right in front of us, so I have something to entertain me all season:)

Hope everyone else had a great weekend. Crazy to think school is almost back in session and the pool will be closing soon. Where did summer go?!?!?!

32 Weeks

Forgot to post my 32 week belly picture. Not a whole lot has changed, but I can definitely tell she's grown a lot over the past few weeks. I guess she is about 3.75 pounds now, or at least that is what the books say. Still has a good bit of growing to do. I got up this morning with Matt and went for a run, so far so good, I get a slight pain up my right leg into my butt muscles but it's bearable.

My Miracle Drug

I naturally have acid reflux. I'm not sure why since I am not overweight, exercise regularly, and eat a very healthy diet. Anyway, since hitting my last trimester it has become unbearable, and has even made me sick. Well, I found the miracle drug. I started taking AcipHex last Friday, and have not had one symptom of acid reflux or heartburn since.

I take one 20mg pill in the morning, then wait a half hour before eating. It controls the acids all day long. It is safe for pregnant woman to take, although i've skipped it 2 days just to be safe, and still didn't have any symptoms. Just had to share my excitement and relief, it is heaven!

I think Summer's Great!

I find it amusing that everyone told me summer is so miserable to be pregnant in, I have definitely not found that to be the case. I love being able to throw on dresses and flip flops everyday. I am cool, airy, and very comfortable. This crazy August weather is making it easy too. You would think it would be in the 90's and horribly humid, but we are going on like 6 days of amazing weather, and it's supposed to last all week. We had a few stretches of 90 degree days, but it hasn't bothered me at all, I'm loving being pregnant in summer.

We went to Young's Dairy in Yellow Springs on Sunday. Madison got to pet the animals, ride a ride, and of course eat yummy ice cream. You would have thought it was an October day out, it was gorgeous!

Monkeys Everywhere

Friday was a gorgeous August day. The temperature was 78 with low humidity- aah! It was a breath of fresh summer air. We decided to spend the afternoon at the Cincinnati Zoo. It was more crowded than normal, due to it being a half price day, but still not too crazy or overwhelming. All the animals were out and about showing off. The polar bear did some water ballet for us, and the giraffe came within inches and put on quite a show. It was a lot of fun, and I course I saw lots of my favorite, MONKEYS!!!! I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, me or Madison.

Saturday I helped with a wedding. I am due for a foot massage though, my feet are still hurting today.

31 Weeks

Figured I should post my ever growing belly. I had a Dr.'s appointment on Monday. Everything was hunky dory. I had only put on 2 pounds since the month before (relief), and I measured right where I should. Guess now I start going back more frequently, yippee! Oh, and I had passed my glucose test, so no more giving out free samples of blood.

My only complaint these days is that my heartburn is unbearable at night. I've had acid reflux since college, so I'm used to the discomfort of it, but this is bad. I literally burp up throw up all the time. NASTY, I know! And I've noticed I have to take deep breaths every now and then, Baby B must be moving up on my lung space.

I'm trying to schedule maternity shots. I'm not a huge fan of them, but they are part of the babies first year package that I've booked. Her pictures are great, so i'm pumped she'll take Baby B's first mug shots. Check out her site: http://www.krysiaphotography.com/ She is booked up till September though, so who knows what'll happen, or pop out, between now and then.

Gotta Love Black

Had to laugh after I put on my work out clothes last night. As I walked into the bathroom, I didn't look pregnant. The black shadowed any lines from the front, so I just looked like a lean mean machine. Then you turn to the side and, aaah, belly! I think black is my new favorite color! Here I am before our run.
Am I pregnant????

Yep, Definitely am!!!!

Yum, CAKE!!!!

Haven't written in a few days. I went up to Dayton cause Brandon came home for the weekend.

It was a busy weekend, we went to a baby rummage sale at my church first thing Saturday morning (bought a co-sleeper), had a baby shower that afternoon, then went out with our friends that evening. Sunday we went to the new train museum (EnterTRAINment Junction), which Madison really liked. I had a Doctor's appointment Monday morning, so just decided to stay Sunday night and spend time with Brandon and the kids.

The shower Saturday was gorgeous. My mother in law and sister in law put together a fabulous afternoon. There were 25 people, and lots of yummy food. We had pork tenderloin, fruit, and some delicious salads. Topped off with the best strawberry cake ever, and iced cookies for everyone to take home. After lunch we played a few games and then I opened all the amazing, generous gifts everyone brought. Baby B is very spoiled, and got so many nice things. I've already filled her room up with cute clothes and necessities. It is starting to feel very real.

Here are some pics from the shower, and a few from the train museum with Madison and Graham.
