14 Weeks 4 day Belly

Wow, it is going to get harder and harder to share pictures when I can start physically noticing myself getting bigger. I feel like i'm going to be a beluga whale here in the next few weeks. Ok, so it's not that bad.....but I still feel thick and icky. I think this picture explains it all!
My Doctor's appointment went well. I have put on a few pounds, which I expected since my pants have become a bit snug. I'm sure most of that has to do with the fact that I started eating normal human food 3 weeks ago. I can at least eat chicken and vegetables again, although I'm still indulging in lots of bagels and oyster crackers which seem to settle the best. Got to hear the heartbeat, which was a strong 160 bpm. Otherwise, it was a pretty uneventful appointment.

3 good days and an unpacked kitchen

I'm happy to report that I had 3 good days in a row. Friday, Saturday and Sunday were all really good days. I felt good, ate well, and basically just acted like myself. The bad news is that I have thrown up twice this morning:( I really and truely thought I was cured of morning sickness. Hmph! At least that is reassuring that more good days are in the future.

We spent Saturday starting to get some stuff moved into the new house. We cleared out our second bedroom, and my parents basement of all our wedding gifts. Matt's parents helped us cart everything down to the house, then both of his brothers stopped in to see the place. My parents and Bailey came down later and helped us unpack all the boxes and get the kitchen set up. It was like Christmas. We have a whole kitchen of brand new plates, appliances, and so much more. We figure we will take trips of stuff down when we can, and then maybe get a moving truck next Sunday to move the bigger items. It's very exciting! Here is a picture of our dining room filled with wedding presents.
I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon. A bit nervous to step on the scale, but I don't think it will be too painful. Hopefully i'll get to hear the heatbeat again and be comforted in knowing that all is well. I'll post updates and the latest bump picture tomorrow.

Not seeing a difference??

3 few weeks ago I posted how excited I was that the baby is the size of a lime. Well I hit the 14 week mark yesterday, which says the baby is now about the size of a lemon. Hmm, call me crazy but are lemons and limes really that different in size? Last week it was a peach, which seems bigger than a lemon to me. But next week it'll be an orange, which seems more on the mark in terms of size comparison. Bring on the naval orange.
*On a side note, my tummy truely had a pooch yesterday- not just an imagined one. Matt said it was the first time it has really looked different and bigger. We'll take a 14 week pic this weekend so you can see for yourself. Aaaah! My new name is now....Fatso!

Bump or chunk??

Ok, so still not much of a bump- but I am feeling like a chunker! I still fit in all my pants, but they are quite snug by the end of the day. Was starting to eat more like a normal person, but then relapsed and have been feeling horrible the last 4 or 5 days. Makes for slim pickins at meal time again. I have had my fair share of peanut M&M's at my parents house, but otherwise sweets mostly turn me off. It's still oyster crackers and pretzels that touch my heart. I think this baby is going to come out as a giant baked potato or bagel. Hehe, I'm picturing that and it isn't pretty! Anyway, here is my 13 week 3 day bump.

Life's a roller coaster

This past week has been crazy, with both ups and downs. We went to look at houses last Sunday, and walked away with an offer on one. It all happened really quickly. We found a neighborhood in West Chester that we love. It is convenient to the highway, has lots of kids, a community pool, centrally located for both Matt and I to drive to work, within our budget. We went that day thinking we were going to make an offer on one we had seen online, but at the last minute went through an open house down the street and realized we could get a bigger home for the same price. The house was owned by a relocation company, so they were willing to take a low offer on the house.

It was an emotional few days for us. We had the highs of knowing we had a house, plus the fears that we didn't love it and it wasn't the right choice. After doing a second walk through of both homes on Wednesday with the realtor, we were reassured that it was a great decision. The closing is set for April 10th, so as of next week, we have a new house. Ahhh!

The house is on a corner lot, it has 5 bedrooms, and a finished walkout basement with a movie room. We are a bit overwhelmed by the space and size of the home- but i'm sure we will fill it in time. Here are a few pictures.

On a side note- the morning sickness is definitely not passing. I had the pleasure of throwing up in a cup on one of my drives down to see the house this week, as well as staying home from work Thursday feeling horrible. I know i've got to be on the verge of this passing, i just know it!!! As the title states, this week we've had one heck of a ride.
