My newest obsession is a show called Long Island Medium. It is about a woman who speaks to spirits, and relays their messages to loved ones. I have to admit, psychics and mediums are something that I thought was a little kooky, and plays on human emotions. But after watching this show, I truly believe that our loved ones are with us and watching over us all the time.
My first example.... the show basically tells people that things don't happen "just because", their is often spirit guiding it. I was sitting on the couch one day and I said, "I feel like Madonna was my mom's way of letting me know I'm loved and looked after." Then mentioned that I hadn't heard from her in awhile. NO JOKE, 1 minute later my phone rang, and it was Madonna calling. I couldn't answer the phone, my breath was literally taken away.
Second example..... We were at church for my nephews 1st communion. At the end of the ceremony, the band joyously started to sing "Let it shine". I was singing out loud, and dancing with the kids. I got a wave of emotion, and felt 100% like my mom was right there with me. And after watching this show, I believe even more she was dancing with me.
So now when i sing the National Anthem at the Bengals game, or hear You Raise Me Up on the radio, i am not only reminded of her.....but i believe she's right there listening and singing with me.
In honor of you mom. The kids and I had a spur of the moment kitchen dance party. Happy Mother's Day....hope you enjoyed dancing with us!
