Ok, so a smart person would have taken a picture in the very beginning. Needless to say, luckily i'm pretty bumpless in the mornings so it's not too bad. I have to admit that there is a huge difference from morning to night though. My pants go from fitting fine, to being nice and snug. Crazy how bloated you can get in a 12 hour time span. Ugh! So here it is, my 12 week baby bump. I'll try to take weekly pictures so everyone can see the progression.

Easter Weekend in NYC
We had a fabulous time in NYC for Easter. It was a very quick trip, but worth every second of our time. We got lots of baby holding time with Graham, and Easter fun with the family. Took Madison to see the Lion King, did a little bit of shopping (got some maternity clothes), decorated Easter eggs, and went to a very nice Easter brunch. We saw Reverend Al Sharpton at brunch, I seem to always see someone famous when I'm in the city. It was a perfect holiday weekend.
We have started to spread the word about the pregnancy. I talked to most of my Clemson friends on the phone (still playing phone tag with Carla and Sarah) and I started calling my local friends this morning. People's reactions always make me laugh. Some are not at all in shock, like "what took so long", and others are like "already, that was fast". Either way it is fun to finally share our excitement. Hope everyone had a Great Easter!!

Excited to be Green
Green everywhere!! Not only was this week St. Patrick's Day, but since I am now 11 weeks the baby is the size of a small lime. I never thought i'd be so excited to have a lime, haha! I have noticed that i've gotten thick through the middle in the past week, hoping that my pants all fit for a few more weeks. Plan to get some maternity clothes while i'm in NYC this weekend, so at least i'll have a backup in case mine start getting snug.
And in other Exciting news, I have another very good friend who is pregnant. My sorority sister Peachy, who was in my wedding, is expecting the week after me. So Steph, Peachy and I are all due within 2 weeks of each other. Stinks she lives in Texas! We are truely a "tri" delta of pregnant sisters. Things are better in 3's. I'm soooo excited!! Congrats Peachy and Porter!

Positive news from appt. #2
I had my second doctor's appointment last Friday. Since I've been getting sick alot my dad was concerned about my ketone levels and weight loss. Luckily my weight was exactly the same, and everything else checked out perfectly. I also got to hear the baby's heartbeat, it was loud and clear at 160 bpm. Crazy to hear it pumping like crazy, but extremely reassuring. I am definitely to the point that I am ready to tell all our friends. In the next week we plan to spread the word. Finally!!!!

9 weeks!

My brother and Liz had their little boy -Graham Carter Douglas England- last Thursday, February 28th. He was 8 lbs. 14 oz, so a nice blump healthy boy. We are so excited for them, and I can't wait to see the little guy when we visit NYC for Easter.
I hit 9 weeks today, at least according to what the ultrasound says. I'm sure it probably isn't accurate to the day, but i'll take it! It has been 3 long weeks now of this miserable morning sickness. I'm on the verge of hitting the toilet again any second now. I tried a few sips of juice this morning, but that didn't go so well. Guess it's nothing but water or gatorade for me. For some reason today i'm especially gag-a-licious! It's soooooo much fun.
My next doctor's appointment isn't until next Friday, so i'm just laying low these past few weeks. Luckily we only have a little over 2 weeks till Easter, and then i'll probably tell my friends that following week. I'm starting to get excited to think about how all my girlfriends will react. It hasn't been too hard to keep the secret. Luckily we are looking at houses, so that gives me other things to focus on and talk about. The last few weeks have moved quickly, so i'm hoping they continue to do the same.
